Kellie Martin is the American actor and director of films, is popularly known for her roles as Christy Huddleston in the period drama 'Christy", Rebecca Thatcher on the show about family Life Goes On> and Lucy Knight for the medical drama ER. She is also known for playing the title role in the "Hailey Dean Mystery" series. Martin, the daughter of a department store purchaser and kindergarten teacher started her career acting at the age of seven when her aunt who served as a nanny to Michael Landon's kids assisted Martin land a role in 1982 series "Father Murphy". After her Yale University graduation, she started to focus on acting. She was able to secure significant roles on the film and television industries. Martin, who is an actor, as well as an accomplished dancer and photographer, has been working in the field for over twenty years. Martin is also a mom of two, and also the face of Lupus. Following her sister's tragic death at the age of 19 Martin has been trying to spread awareness of Lupus and its symptoms.
